I am an independent board member, advisor, and speaker working at the intersection of innovation, governance, and public-interest impact.
My work focuses on how organisations — across the public, private, and third sectors — navigate complexity, make better long-term decisions, and align innovation with societal and environmental priorities. I am particularly interested in the role of boards and leadership teams in governing innovation responsibly, integrating sustainability into strategy, and strengthening organisational resilience in times of change.
I bring a cross-sector perspective shaped by senior leadership, advisory, and board-level experience, alongside a strong interest in research-informed practice. I value thoughtful challenge, systems thinking, and evidence-based decision-making, and I am drawn to roles where reflection, learning, and long-term impact matter as much as performance.
Innovation with Purpose and Impact
A central thread in my work is the idea of innovation with purpose and impact. I use this as a lens rather than a label — a way of framing conversations about how innovation can serve clear societal goals while delivering durable value.
In practice, this means supporting boards and leaders to ask better questions: about risk, incentives, unintended consequences, and the wider systems in which organisations operate. It also means bridging the gap between ambition and implementation, helping translate complex challenges into clear strategic choices.
Engagement and contribution
Alongside my board and advisory roles, I contribute to public and professional conversations through speaking, writing, and collaborative work. I am particularly interested in engaging with academic, policy, and practitioner communities, and in exploring how research and practice can inform one another more effectively.
I am committed to supporting the next generation of professionals, particularly in the water sector. Outside my formal roles, I spend time mentoring and supporting young water professionals, women, and individuals from under-represented backgrounds, and exploring how new opportunities can be created collaboratively through networks, learning, and innovation.
I approach all my work with curiosity, integrity, and a belief in constructive dialogue — creating space for better questions, better decisions, and more meaningful impact.
